The superintendent decides if health & safety concerns dictate late arrival. Students can be told to arrive at an alternate time (safer driving times). There will be a requirement that the students need to be scheduled for at least four hours (240 minutes) of instruction for the day to generate attendance. Attendance for the late arrival will be taken at the point in time that the superintendent determines will be used (example: Official attendance will be taken at 1:30 PM). All students will be marked present or absent based on whether they present in class at the alternate attendance roll call. Please remember to retain documentation showing when the alternate attendance was taken (for audit purposes). Remember to change the minutes on the official school calendar to reflect the actual minutes that were used for the day.
